Terrain Park Groomer - WInter 2023/24
Gunstock Mountain Resort is now accepting applications for a Terrain Park Groomer for the winter season.
Groomers are responsible for providing quality snowsurfaces throughout the resort.
They work hard to ensure all grooming assignments are completed in a timely manner with an eye toward snowsurface quality and slope safety.
$18-21/hr.
depending on experience.
Responsibilities:
Nightly Grooming maintenance of terrain parks and features.
Works with Terrain Park manager and staff to build, modify, and remove features Completes nightly grooming requests as needed.
Operate Snowcats equipment safely and efficiently Communicate any malfunctions or maintenance issues with Snowcats with the Vehicle Maintenance Shop and Snow Surface Manager immediately.
Communicates grooming issues and delays to Snow Surface Manager as soon as possible.
Graveyard Shift- Midnight- 830am 4-5 nights per week Position Starts Mid/Late November through first week of April Previous Terrain Park grooming experience preferred Previous Grooming Experience Required.
Requirements:
Must be 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
A minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating a grooming machine with proficient knowledge of slope maintenance.
Experience with blade and grading work; working knowledge of diesel and gasoline engines and hydraulic systems.
Required to move snowmaking and grooming parts, equipment, and materials weighing up to 25 lbs regularly, up to 50 lbs frequently, and up to 100 lbs occasionally.
Must be able to work in variable outdoor winter weather conditions; while performing the duties of a Groomer, the employee is regularly subjected to work near moving mechanical parts; in high, precarious places; and in outside weather conditions with frequent exposure to heat and cold, wet and humid conditions.
